Nessy Tales

Since 22nd February, 2008, Nessy Tales is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). If you are an existing customer who purchased Nessy Tales prior to this date and who now requires a version that is compatible with OS X 10.5, please contact us using the email address or phone number at the foot of this page. Please be ready to provide your name, email address used to download Nessy Tales, and approximate date of purchase. Once we have verified your purchase we shall be happy to upgrade your version at no charge.

If you paid via PayPal, after the payment has been processed, click on the button that says “Return To Net Educational Systems Ltd” in order to access the secure download area, making sure to take note of your unique purchase code. If you paid by credit or debit card, simply write down your code and follow the link on the confirmation page. Regardless of which payment method you selected, an email will also have been sent to you which contains all the information you need to download Nessy Tales. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please be sure to check any Junk or Spam email folders.

Please ensure that you are entering your code into the top box, and your email address into the bottom box. The code will only work once.

Each purchase code entitles you to a single download of Nessy Tales. In the event that your download was terminated unexpectedly (loss of connection etc), please check the email that was sent to you. This contains all the information you need to download Nessy Tales. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please be sure to check any Junk or Spam email folders. If you are still having problems downloading Nessy Tales, then please contact us by email at info@nessy.co.uk. Once we have verified your purchase, we will make alternative arrangements for you to receive your download promptly.

While each purchase code entitles you to a single download of Nessy Tales, you are permitted to make a back-up copy for personal use, and we highly recommend that you do so. In the event that neither copy is available, through computer failure, data loss, or other unforeseen circumstances, Net Educational Systems regrets that we cannot make a subsequent download available free of charge.

Before installing, please ensure that the free Nessy Tales book application (with the Muggins story) is installed on your computer. The add-on books download is a compressed file. Once you have saved it to your desktop, double-click it to extract or expand the installer program. Double-click on this and follow the on-screen instructions. Do NOT simply drag the downloaded file into the Nessy Tales folder on your hard drive. Once the add-on books have been successfully installed, they can be viewed by opening the free Nessy Tales book application and selecting the stories from the menu on the left hand page, then clicking on the "Read" button at the bottom right of the facing page.

Once the books have been installed correctly, you should be able to read the stories by opening the free Nessy Tales book application, selecting a story from the left hand page, and clicking on “Read” in the bottom corner of the right hand page. If this button still says “About This Tale”, then the application has not installed correctly. Here are screenshots of how your install directory should look after a successful installation:

If your installation directory contains the data as depicted above, try reinstalling the free Nessy Tales download (with the Muggins story) and accessing the add-on stories again. If this still does not resolve the issue, contact us by email at info@nessy.co.uk.
